About Us

Hi. I’m Flossy, an illustrator based in Suffolk, England, and the heart behind By Flossy – where puns, pets, and playful designs come together! 

 

 

My journey began back in 2022 when I graduated with a degree in fashion design and took a leap into starting my own creative business. It all kicked off with a mix of drawing, sewing, and crocheting – making everything from clothes to quirky homewares which I sold at local markets and Etsy.

But everything changed when I drew a portrait of my boyfriend’s mum’s dog for her birthday. That one drawing sparked a wave of pet portrait requests – and before I knew it, I was fully immersed in the wonderful world of illustrating beloved pets.

 

 

Using promarkers and fine liner pens, I developed my own style and fell in love with the joy of capturing each pet’s unique personality on paper. The reactions from customers made it all the more special – these weren’t just drawings, they were treasured keepsakes. From commissions, I branched into designing prints of popular dog breeds, and in 2024, I created my first collection of Christmas cards.

 

 

 

That same summer, I proudly opened my very own shop, filled with prints, portraits, cards, and all kinds of illustrated goodies. Now, I’m diving fully into illustration – creating pun-filled cards, tote bags, T-shirts, prints, and more – all featuring my signature animal characters. I’ve just launched a brand-new website and am designing like crazy to bring fresh, fun, and furry ideas to life!
